Winters well, is resistant to long-term droughts, long-lasting. The herb maintains high productivity for 6-8 years. It grows well in less fertile, drier, more acidic soils. Therefore, it is especially suitable for livestock farms, where perennial sedges do not fit well due to the characteristics of the soil. Red clover will enrich the harvest with green proteins during the first year of sowing. Effectively uses nitrogen from mineral fertilizers up to N160-180 kg/ha. Grasslands of this type can and should be grazed and mowed frequently, as dog grasses have a high forage value and are good to eat only until mass swimming begins.
